"Most of these reviews are for Willie Thomas. I have no experience with him as my agent is Mike Livesay and this review is based on my dealing with Mike. I’ve used State Farm for years as my insurance cost less than $100 a month for my old car. A little over a year ago my old car finally started to break down and I bought a used car that was 5 years old. When I switched my car, I had a price increase to bring my cost to $160 per month, which was expected since the car was much nicer than my old car. I recently had my new 6 month policy renewal and noticed the price increased by another $35 dollars a month, bringing it to nearly $200 per month. When I called to ask about this price increase, I was told my Mike’s office that it was inflation and that everywhere had price increases. $35 dollar increase for no other reason then “inflation” when I have zero traffic incidents and zero insurance claims is insane. I have just switched my insurance to geico and it’s back to being under $100 per month for the same coverage. Adding an update September 2025: I was reached out to by Mike Liversay’s team via text to share a new auto insurance quote with me, even though I did not request for a new quote. Out of curiosity, I looked at this new quote, it is still more expensive per month than what I am currently paying with Geico. No change after 10 months for my rating, 1/5 stars"

"Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand your frustration with the rate increase—unfortunately, as a local agency, we don’t have control over the rates set by State Farm. However, we work hard to offer all available discounts to help lower rates as much as possible. Rates are cyclical, and while companies like Geico may offer lower rates now, this is often due to a temporary “new customer” discount, which can change after the first renewal. Many of our customers find they return to us for more personalized service and comprehensive coverage that truly meets their needs. Please feel free to reach out to discuss your policy further—we’re here to help! Edit to my review 9/15 - Connor, thank you for your update. As I shared before, your review is given on our local agency. Which we do not make determinations on your premium costs. We as the local agency look for every possible discount within the bounds we are given on your particular quote we run through State Farm. Although I appreciate the update, I would hope that your experience with our local agency was better than a 1 star experience. If my team was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional in anyway or didn’t find every possible option for discounts for you in the quote they were working to give you from State Farm then the 1 star would be warranted. If not then the previous response to your review goes unchanged. "
